Community Engagement and Volunteer Fundraiser - Sully

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Community Engagement & Volunteer Fundraiser to join our Fundraising and Community Engagement team.

About the role

This a new and exciting role which will help Tŷ Hafan to develop and recruit volunteers to implement effective new fundraising groups at Tŷ Hafan, enabling us to:

  • Work closely with the fundraising team to develop a volunteer plan
  • Develop and recruit volunteers
  • Implement effective new volunteer fundraising groups
  • Work closely with the fundraising team and relevant income generation colleagues, in line with the fundraising business plan and key priorities within community volunteer opportunities.
  • Identify potential volunteers on our database
  • Develop an understanding of Ty Hafan and the business, products, campaigns and activities
  • Collaborate with volunteer colleagues
  • Keep accurate records and develop a knowledge of internal policies

The Income Generation team plays a key role in raising the funds to enable Tŷ Hafan’s hospice and community programmes to support life-limited children in Wales.

The role will be based at our offices in Sully, but the post holder will initially work from home due to COVID restrictions.

About you
We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in an area of volunteering, and experience of successfully working to targets and timescales
  • Has a methodical and organised approach to projects and recruitment
  • Is able to build strong long-term relationships
  • Is able to steward new volunteers and groups
  • Has excellent IT and numeracy skills
  • Is income savvy, and able to collaborate across several income streams to prioritise workload.
  • Is a positive team player with a can-do attitude, who can see the bigger picture and can actively contribute to wider team goals.
  • Is confident, creative, resourceful, self-driven, positive and friendly.
