Position Overview

·The Supply Chain lead will head the group of material planners to ensure accurate and on time delivery of materials to meet the production schedules.

·Role involves working closely with central purchasing to improve supplier performance and sustainable growth.

·Internally responsible for OTIF schedule adherence working closely with the Warehouse Manager, 3rd party providers and Planners to ensure smooth material flow and optimized warehouse utilisation.

·Leads and develops materials planning team and deputises for Head of Supply chain when required.

Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities

·Managing team responsible for expediting raw materials and packaging from suppliers based in UK, Europe and USA

·Supplier management for inbound/stockholding strategies to cope with growth of the business

·Supplier management and development – Raw Material suppliers and component suppliers

·Optimisation of material flow within the operation coordinating with all departments

·Inventory management

·Coordinate new supplier set up and materials to support NPD launch plans

·Ensure suppliers forecasts are shared and weekly/monthly capacity plans are created

·Monthly reporting of inventory and stock turn

·Develop individuals and skill sets to meet the needs of complex fast moving business

Qualifications and Experience - Essential: -

·Wide use of ERP systems inc. MRP

·Supply chain optimisation

·Supplier development

·Excel (medium – high)

·Team management

Qualifications and Experience – Desirable: -

·Degree (or equivalent qualification)

·Significant experience in a ‘lean culture’ working environment;

·Six Sigma/lean training and or certification

·ERP systems – Sage X3 preferred

Essential Skill Requirements: -

·Ability to influence and change systems/processes/mind-sets

·Broad knowledge of production packaging & processing;

·Awareness of modern technology;

·Good communication skills & attitude;

·Team player in a cross functional environment

·Flexible – able to work outside of core hours to ensure business targets are met;

·Competent & self-motivated.

·Data handling / PC skills / Microsoft office/ Project
