Accounts Payable - Maternity Cover

1. At Llamau we believe that no young person or vulnerable woman should ever have to experience homelessness.
2. You will work in co-operation with the Finance Team to provide an efficient and effective service within Finance and to Llamau as an organisation.
3. You will provide support to operational colleagues in their dealings with finance.

Location: Cathedral Road

Contract: Full Time, Temporary until 31st May 2025

Role overview:

To work in co-operation with the Finance Team to provide an efficient and effective service; duties inclusive but not limited to 

• Matching invoices to purchase orders, delivery notes & checking discrepancies
• Entering invoices on finance system
• Obtaining appropriate authorisation for invoices
• Compiling and transmitting payment runs
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Matching ad-hoc payments to invoices
• Dealing with queries for internal and external customers
• Allocating costs across cost centres
• To provide support to operational colleagues in their dealings with finance with adhoc queries.

At Llamau we believe that no young person or vulnerable woman should ever have to experience homelessness. Our mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. But for thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality. 

30 years ago Llamau was founded to provide homeless teenagers with a safe place to stay. Since then, we have supported over 67,000 young people, women and their children who are either homeless or facing homelessness. Many people think the job of a homelessness charity will be to provide accommodation - a safe place to stay. But it is very clear to us that for most people who are facing homelessness, their problems are far more complex than a lack of permanent shelter. That's why we treat everyone who needs our support as an individual. We recognise their unique strengths and needs and make sure that they are supported to rebuild their futures.
