UK : £39,692 - £41,505 per annum (grade 5)
For other countries, salary will be aligned to the location and local market conditions.

The main purpose of your role
The New Business Development Lead role is designed to lead a team of new business executives whose principal purpose is to grow the number of mauve clients.
To accomplish this, the New Business Development Lead will drive high velocity cold outreach, ensuring a high cadence of lead conversion into sellable opportunities. Additionally, the role will be responsible for ensuring a significant return on marketing spend by delivering substantial conversions on all inbound leads. The responsibility also includes all activities geared towards delivering the sales target set by the senior sales management team, as well as aligning objectives with the sales strategy issued by the Global Head of Sales.
Responsibilities will include executing on the sales strategy, contributing to the sales process improvement, increasing new client numbers, and maximising revenue in collaboration with other departments. This includes crafting regional approaches where appropriate and implementing and communicating any new business specific process changes, as well as producing written process documentation to support such changes, supporting the team to assess and qualify potential leads, supporting the team to establish and maintain relationships with potential clients, and supporting the team to respond to enquiries from potential clients.
This role is a player coach where the New Business Development Lead will lead from the front in delivering their personal sales target as well as taking responsibility for the overall team target. The role also includes people management - coaching, continuous performance evaluation and management, resource management etc.
Due to the nature of the position, the New Business Development Lead may be required to work outside of standard working hours to support internationally located team members, accommodate international business needs and time zones.
What will you be doing as the New Business Development Lead?
- Lead the new client acquisition initiative
- Develop and set effective new business-sales processes to improve lead conversion across regions, aligning with the overall sales strategy.
- Shape and maintain the new business sales process, collaborating with other departments to maximise revenue and crafting region-specific approaches as required.
- Establish event lead conversion strategies with clear objectives linked to brand awareness and lead generation.
- Recruit, train, and onboard top sales talent for the new business sales team, delivering comprehensive training programs and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering professional growth and career development.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, setting clear expectations, and providing constructive feedback for improvement when necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key prospects and stakeholders to drive lead conversions and business growth.
- Represent the company at events, trade shows, and forums to promote Mauve’s services, including possible speaking engagements.
- Ensure accurate pipeline data entry in Salesforce, regularly monitoring and reporting on performance metrics to the Global Head of Sales
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient service for prospective clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level or have comparable training/work experience (minimum of 3 years in Employer of Record (EoR) sector/industry or B2B HR services sales.).
Knowledge and experience
Essential
- At least 3 years' experience in Employer of Record (EoR) sector/industry or B2B HR services sales.
- Evidence of success as in individual sales contributor
Desirable
- Demonstrable experience with consistent successful generation and conversion of leads as well as successful outreach and conversion to new business

- A proactive, flexible approach to managing workloads with conflicting deadlines, while maintaining a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Strong people leadership abilities with previous experience managing a sales team

- Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
