The Spa

The Marine Spa has a modern thermal suite containing a sauna, steam room, salt grotto, ice fountain, adventure shower and infinity edged pool. It also has five luxury treatment rooms including a double treatment room with full height windows that open to let in the sea air and sounds of the tide. It provides the perfect place to relax and indulge in soothing treatments.

The Job Purpose

The Spa Therapist is essential in ensuring the guest’s treatment and general Spa experience is unforgettable. The main purpose of the role is to be able to prepare for and deliver, to an exceptional level, treatments such as facials, massages, body wraps, manicures, pedicures, waxing and eyebrow tints. Being professional, confident and answering questions about products and techniques reassures guests they are in safe, professional hands.

The Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks

• To carry out Spa treatments to agreed high standards
• To deliver a consistently outstanding guest experience
• To maintain a clean and efficient "5 star" operation and environment to exceed guest expectations
• To act as an ambassador for the Spa and Hotel
• To deliver service levels to comply with health and safety regulations
• To achieve a minimum sales target each month

The Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

• Ability to carry out variety of treatments demonstrating confidence and competence
• NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent
• Passionate about delivering the highest standards of customer care
• Smart personal presentation
• Good interpersonal skills with a polite, friendly and approachable manner
• Flexible work ethic and proactive approach
• In depth knowledge of contra-indications
• Health, safety and hygiene awareness

Desirable But Not Essential

• Previous experience in a similar role
