Job Description

You will receive an honorarium of £3000 per year, paid monthly for the AMHP work you undertake

About the role:

This is an opportunity to join a cohesive social care mental health team as care coordinator. You would hold a caseload of people requiring support and assessment under the social services and wellbeing act with a focus on prevention, voice, control within a CMHT context. You will hold “What matters” conversations with people and work towards social inclusion and recovery focus aims. This is a supportive team with excellent supervision and CPD opportunities. You would ideally hold an AMHP qualification or be a qualified social worker willing to work towards this qualification. There is a 3k market supplement for practicing AMHPs in recognition of the role.

About you:

  • You will need a strong value base that seeks social inclusion and that challenges stereotypical views associated with mental health.
  • You need to work to an ethos that underpinned the social services and wellbeing act
  • Be and AMHP
  • Prepared to train as an AMHP
  • Undertake person-centred assessments of need and wellbeing
  • Risk assess and undertake a care coordination role

What you will do:

  • Form positive relationships with people who can excluded by services
  • Ability to work collaboratively with citizens, families and other agencies
  • Complete assessments and risk assessments to a high standards
  • Be IT literate (training is provided as records are electronic)
  • Uphold the social work accountability frame work
  • Demonstrate safeguarding awareness and safeguarding processes

This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check

Salary: Grade 11 Point 30 to Point 32 £38,223 to £40,221 per annum £19.81 to £20.84 per hour
