Mechanical Apprenticeship

Salary: Year 1 £14,000 (Annual salary reviews subject to satisfactory performance and progression through the apprentice scheme.)

Our engineering apprenticeship is 3.5 years in duration with full time attendance to TTE for the first 2 years. From your third year you will be based on site at Shotton whilst continuing your apprenticeship.

Based at TTE, you will study for the following qualifications:

• Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Operations and Maintenance Engineering
• Level 2 Functional skills
• RoSPA H&S Basic Certificate

On successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be offered a full time position within Tata Steel on the Shotton site.

You’ll need to have 5 GCSEs or equivalent (including English Language, Maths and Science) at Grades A - C or level 4 – 9 or equivalents.

You will also need to have a genuine interest in mechanical engineering and show a passion for this type of work.
