Who We’re Looking For
The Disabled Children’s Team delivers targeted intervention programmes to disabled children and their families to build skills, improve understanding and support integration and independence. This is delivered through a time limited specially designed programme of work and an accredited skills model for which training will be provided.
The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and motivated. Good communication skills are crucial to the role as you will be required to interact effectively with a range of individuals including disabled children, family members, staff from partner agencies and members of the public.
To apply for this post, you must be aged 19 and over.
What Will You Study?
All Apprentices will be supported to complete a QCF (Qualification Credit Framework, formerly NVQ) qualification in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People), Level 3 via a training provider or local college.
What will you be paid?
This is a fixed term post for a two-year period and will start in September. You will be paid National Minimum Wage dependent on age:

Due to the Apprenticeship entry criteria, applications cannot be accepted from any applicant who has already gained a similar qualification at level 3 or above in the role applied for.
For example, if you have a degree in Civil Engineering you will not be eligible to apply for a Civil Engineering apprenticeship post. However, you could apply for any other apprenticeship post. Any such applications will not be considered.
