Apprentice Street Lighting Electrician

1. This is a junior role within a specialised department of the council, involving works on all aspects of street lighting from civils works to electrical installation and testing.
2. Working outdoors you will enjoy a varied work calendar and will always be learning new skills.
3.  We will train you and develop your skills.

Contract: 37 hours, Fixed term until 31/08/2027

This is a junior role within a specialised department of the council, involving works on all aspects of street lighting from civils works to electrical installation and testing. Our team covers a wide area of Powys and bordering counties. The work that we carry out is both interesting and challenging in equal measure. Working outdoors you will enjoy a varied work calendar and will always be learning new skills. A driving licence would also be an advantage to the applicant but not essential.

What you will do:

• Work alongside experienced members of the team to develop skills in line with department requirements
• Take part in a full range of onsite and classroom based training to develop knowledge
• Take an active role in the team
• Be willing to work on a flexible timeframe when needed.

There is no DBS Check requirement for this position.

Service: Highways, Transport and Recycling; Apprentice

Salary: £12.00 per hour - Commensurate with current Apprenticeship Rates
