We're recruiting confident and enthusiastic Welsh Speaking Cover Supervisors to work across schools in Newport. Whether you're an aspiring teacher, graduate, experienced Cover Supervisor or have transferable experience working with children and young people, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons
Support learning through the medium of Welsh where required
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
Encourage pupil engagement and positive behaviour
Ensure pupils complete the work provided by their teacher
Work alongside teaching staff and school leadership

Who We're Looking For

Fluent Welsh speaker - essential
Experience working with children or young people is essential (school, tutoring, coaching, youth work, volunteering or similar)
Confident managing a classroom
Strong communication and organisation skills
Positive, reliable and adaptable approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
