The Catering Department at Withybush General Hospital is currently looking to recruit 1 Catering Assistant who would like to join a large team of individuals within the department in providing an effective and efficient cleaning and catering service. The successful candidate will play an integral role within the team in ensuring that the food is prepared, delivered and the department is cleaned to the highest standard.
Main duties of the job
The contract currently available is a 1 x 15.0 hour post. This contract is to work 5 nights a week, 5pm to 8pm, Monday to Sunday. These hours may vary to reflect the needs of the service. Candidates will receive uniform and full training. The candidate should be able to work as part of a team and communicate well with colleagues, staff and visitors alike. You will need to work within the hospital's policies and procedures and uphold the values of Hywel Dda University Health Board at all times.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Hywel Dda University Health Board provides all healthcare services for the 375,000 people living in West Wales. The Health Board operate four acute hospitals, a number of community hospitals and resource centres, eleven health centres as well as GPs, Dentists and Pharamacists providing Acute, Primary, Community, Mental health and Learning disabilities for the people of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
The Board has a key role in ensuring that the Health Board has good governance arrangements in place and is open and transparent in the way that it works. The Board meets on a bi-monthly basis at a minimum, in public session. It is supported in the decision-making process by a structure of Committee and Advisory Groups.
