Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy and successful finance team within a well-established automotive retail business in Cardiff.

This role will have a strong emphasis on the Purchase Ledger function and will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Managing supplier queries via telephone and email
• Preparing payment runs in line with business deadlines
• Maintaining accurate supplier account records
• Assisting with month-end processes and ledger reconciliations
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting duties
• Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

• Experience in accounting or finance roles within a similar environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• A basic understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
