French Teacher

Reed Further Education are currently working with a leading Further Education provider to recruit a Lecturer in French on a part-time, temporary basis to cover sickness absence.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable French specialist with experience delivering WJEC AS and A Level French. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful A Level provision and support learners to achieve excellent outcomes.

• Location: Nantgarw Hours:
• 9 Teaching Hours per Week
• Temporary (Until December 2026)

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering:

• 5 hours of A2 French per week
• 4 hours of AS French per week
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback
• Supporting students to achieve their academic potential
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality processes
• Timetabling flexibility is available, with the possibility of adjusting teaching days to support candidate availability.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience teaching WJEC AS and A Level French
• Strong subject knowledge in French
• Experience teaching at Level 3
• A degree in French or a related subject
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, QTS or equivalent) or relevant FE teaching experience
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and learner achievement
• EWC Registered (Essential)
• DBS on the update service (Essential)
