The Role:

We're working with a well established professional services firm in central Cardiff looking to add an Assistant Management Accountant to their finance team. This is a steady, hands-on role supporting the production of monthly accounts and giving you exposure to the full month-end process.

You'll be joining a supportive team with good structure in place, making it a solid opportunity for someone who's part-qualified and looking to build on existing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Post journals, including accruals and prepayments
• Analyse financial data and provide basic commentary
• Work with internal teams to gather financial information
• Support the year-end process and external audit

About You

• Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or studying towards qualification
• Experience in a finance role with exposure to month-end
• Comfortable using Excel (lookups, pivot tables beneficial)
• Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• Willing to learn and take on more responsibility over time
