The business is highly profitable, privately owned and entering another phase of investment and growth, but it is building from an already very successful base rather than trying to fix something that is broken.

Clients value the relationship-led approach too, with advisers expected to know the people behind the businesses they work with rather than hiding behind email.

For an ambitious Accounts Partner, the attraction is straightforward: there is a realistic route into ownership within around 12 months for someone who proves themselves.

Based in Cardiff, you would join an established leadership team within a successful accountancy firm, working alongside senior directors covering audit, accounts and tax, this is a business actively planning its next generation of leadership.

What you'll be doing

• Building and developing your own portfolio of owner-managed and entrepreneurial businesses
• Winning new fees through your existing network, referrals and strong client relationships
• Remaining commercially involved in client work rather than operating as a purely internal figurehead
• Advising business owners on accounting, tax, growth and wider commercial issues
• Working alongside the existing directors on the continued development of the firm
• Developing future managers and directors from within the team
• Helping maintain the firm's reputation as a high-performing accountancy business

The successful Accounts Partner is likely to be ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background advising privately owned businesses. You will already be comfortable developing work commercially and capable of generating meaningful fee income rather than relying entirely on inherited clients.

This would particularly suit someone who has reached director level within accountancy but wants considerably more influence over the future of the firm and a transparent opportunity to build equity.
