This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced marketing professional to join the University and help us become sector leading in our approach to student recruitment. The post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating and producing a range of professional, high quality and effective marketing content and material to help build relationships with prospective students throughout the student recruitment journey. You will also be responsible for leading on the delivery of digital student recruitment activity for some specific target markets. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and be a confident communicator, with excellent copywriting, proof reading and editing skills. You must have experience of co-ordinating and producing marketing material, excellent organisation skills, an understanding of the University’s main target audiences.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post.

This is a permanent position and the successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.

Purpose of the Job

This post has responsibility for the development and management of a range of content which will creatively and effectively tell the brand story of Bangor University in a student recruitment context and will be responsible for leading the development of the online content that supports the student recruitment journey. This content will include written narrative, long and short, video and photography. It will need to be designed for use across a variety of on and offline media and it will need to be adapted and tailored to target specific audiences.

The role will be key in supporting the University to raise awareness of who and what Bangor University inside and outside Wales, making it relevant for a Welsh, English and wider UK audience. The postholder will need to be engaged with other areas of the Directorate including communications, recruitment, international and alumni, to support and integrate with their aims and objective
