Robert Half are delighted to be partnering exclusively with Abergavenny Fine Foods, part of the Frostkrone Food Group, to recruit a proactive and detail focused Purchase Ledger Clerk into their supportive Finance Team in Blaenavon.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial processing across the purchase ledger and broader finance function.

You will be responsible for:

Accounts Payable & Supplier Management

• Maintaining and updating accurate supplier records
• Posting invoices & credit notes, ensuring correct coding within SAP
• Matching POs, attaching documentation and resolving discrepancies
• Managing supplier queries and preparing monthly statement reconciliations
• Investigating outstanding creditor items

Reconciliations

• Preparing bank reconciliations
• Processing credit card statements and employee expenses
• Maintaining daily cashbook postings

Wider Finance Support

• Assisting with VAT
• Supporting the Finance Team
• Liaising with department heads
• Providing cover across the transactional team where needed

What We're Looking For

• An experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk with proven end to end experience
• SAP experience or strong ERP knowledge (highly desirable)
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisation
• Confident communicator, comfortable handling queries internally & externally
• Strong Excel skills and good financial systems experience
• Ability to work to deadlines in a busy FMCG/manufacturing environment
