Carmarthen Foodbank and Money Advice (CFMA) originally opened as a Foodbank in January 2011 by Towy Community Church from a small office in Carmarthen Town Centre.
By 2020, the Community Money Advice service was established in addition to the Foodbank to address the underlying causes of food poverty and debt as part of a wider project with Xcel.
Our Money Advice service offers free financial and budgeting advice, can manage and write off debts, and give people the tools to gain control of their finances moving forward.

Today the CFMA is a stand alone charity working as part of the Trussell Network and in partnership with local churches to support the local community of Carmarthen and the surrounding area.
Carmarthen Community Money Advice as part of the wider vision of CFMA, ensuring that all areas of provision are run efficiently and to a high standard, in accordance with CMA and FCA requirements.
The CMA Manager will provide strategic leadership and direction for our central mission to tackle poverty and reduce foodbank use.
