Salary: £30 - £37 per hour.

Job Elements: -

·Development and on time delivery of systems and components.

·Creation and development of 3D CAD data and engineering drawings.

·Leading of design for manufacture activities in co-ordination with manufacturing team.

·Perform tolerance analysis, DFMEA’s, clearance analysis.

·Customer communication for new product developments.

·Co-ordination with teams in other locations, including China, Japan and US.

·Lead prototype activities; including external supplier co-ordination and in-house 3D printing.

·Development testing of new products.

·Data management in PLM system and management of data with customers.

·Application of internal and customer OEM standards in design and CAD data quality.

·Lead and participate in Design and Drawing Reviews.

·Support Design cost calculations.

·Self-management of projects; including planning.

What the company are seeking in the successful candidate: -

·Degree in Engineering or a comparable education.

·Experience in CATIA 3D CAD system is required; minimum 5 years’ experience.

·Experience in product design, minimum 5 years.

·Strong communication skills with the ability to manage their projects and present status to other parts of the business.

·Strong use of Microsoft programs; Excel and PowerPoint especially.

·Valid Driving License.

·Plastics design and process knowledge (including injection moulding) is a strong plus.
