The Independent Domestic Violence Advisor scheme supports victims who are at High risk of imminent harm or homicide. The Independent Domestic Violence Advisor is a Domestic Abuse specialist with the knowledge and drive to prioritise the safety of victims and their families. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor, you will advise, inspire and support individuals and their families to lead safer lives. You will work flexibly as part of a team to develop, implement and review safety plans based on individual needs, risks, preferences and aspirations.

This is a permanent fulltime post

For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

How can I make a difference?

You will:

  • Work with High risk victims of Domestic Abuse
  • Advocate on behalf of high risk victims – Be the voice of the victim
  • Be passionate about making victims and their families safer
  • Work in partnership with external agencies
  • Have a good level of education
  • Be IDVA qualified, be willing to work towards this qualification and or have experience in the field of Domestic Abuse
  • Use your skills and talents to engage with our clients
  • You will be flexible with your working hours to meet the needs of the service users including evenings, weekend and an on call rota
