We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Aeronautical & Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Wrexham University. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the practical education of our students and assisting them in their aeronautical & mechanical engineering investigations. Your expertise and understanding of the challenges in the industry will be instrumental in providing valuable guidance to our aspiring aeronautical & mechanical engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-On Expertise: Aeronautical & Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for hands-on activities related to engineering systems, components, and technologies. Your practical knowledge will be essential in maintaining and operating equipment and machinery.
  • Student Support: Collaborate with students on their practical investigations, providing guidance and assistance as they work on aeronautical & mechanical projects. Your mentorship will contribute to their skill development and understanding of aeronautical & mechanical engineering principles.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of Aeronautical & Mechanical laboratory equipment and tools. Keep them in optimal working condition to facilitate effective learning and research.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines within the Aeronautical & Mechanical laboratory. Promote a safe working environment for students and staff, emphasising the importance of following safety procedures in the Aeronautical & Mechanical industry.
  • Industry Insight: Share your insights into the challenges and advancements in the automotive industry with students, helping them gain a real-world perspective on the field. Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends.
