About the Role
We are seeking confident and reliable Secondary Cover Supervisors to join welcoming schools in the Rossett Wrexham (Post Code: LL12) area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and can confidently manage a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set work, maintaining positive behaviour and ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise secondary students across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and activities.
- Maintain a calm, safe and positive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students with their learning and encourage engagement.
- Take accurate registers and report any issues to relevant staff.
- Ensure students complete the work provided by the class teacher.
- Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Confident communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different classroom environments.
- A professional, reliable and positive approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
- Right to work in the UK.
- A degree or relevant education experience is desirable but not essential.
