Junior Field Service Engineer - Solar

Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering a utility scale solar O&M company to recruit a Junior Field Service Engineer for its sites in South Wales.

This role comes with a salary of 31,000 - 32,000 DOE, company van and 25 days holiday.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Team Leader you will:

• Assisting with planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements. Learning around reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and standard operating procedures
• Performing reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner
• Carrying out site surveys requests as required
• Compiling accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner
• Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit
• Ensuring that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity
• Complying with the company Health & Safety Policy

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualifications or equivalent
• 17th/18th (preferably) edition wiring regulations
• Ideally at least a year's experience in electrical installation/maintenance work in either an industrial, commercial or even domestic capacity
• Full UK licence

• Keen to get into renewables A real passion for renewable technologies such as solar PV, battery storage etc
• Happy to travel around to sits in a field based role

• Salary of between 31,000 to 32,000 DOE
