1-1 Teaching Assistant

Position: 1-1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Pontypridd

Hours: Mon to Fri (8:30am - 3:30pm)

Pay: 85 per day (increases dependent on experience and qualifications).

A lovely school located in the Pontypridd area are currently seeking an experienced, qualified 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a KS2 class.

Duties as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant:

• Providing individualised support and assistance to a specific student with additional needs within the classroom setting.
• Implementing strategies and interventions, specific to the individual's needs and requirements.
• Assisting the student with classroom tasks, activities and adapting materials as needed to suit their personalised provisions.
• Supporting the student's social and emotional well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Holding strong communication with the class teacher, parents and children.
• Supporting the pupil during transitions between activities, ensuring their safety and promoting independence.

Role Requirements:

• Level 2/3 CACHE in Supporting Teaching & Learning
• Previous experience working within a Primary School environment
• Previous experience supporting a child on a 1-1 basis
• Local to or able to commute to Pontypridd
• Knowledge and understanding of additional learning needs
• An enhanced DBS check & registration with the EWC (we can assist if not!)
