Aspire People are recruiting for a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time basis with an immediate start.
This is an excellent opportunity for a DT specialist who can confidently teach Woodwork/Resistant Materials alongside other areas of the Design & Technology curriculum. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about practical learning and able to engage students of all abilities in a safe, well-managed workshop environment.
The Role
Full-time DT teaching position in a secondary school
Immediate start available
Teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology
Delivering engaging practical and theory lessons
Strong focus on Woodwork/Resistant Materials
Ability to teach additional DT disciplines such as Product Design, Construction, Engineering or Graphics would be advantageous
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and workshop safety
We Are Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary setting
Confident delivering Woodwork/Resistant Materials lessons
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Passion for practical, hands-on learning
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
