Job Description

The Assembly & Installation Fitter is responsible for the fitting and installation of machined parts, sheet metal components and various assembled parts in accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications and quality standards.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary production team, the role ensures all assembly and installation activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, supporting the delivery of projects on time and to customer expectations.

We will be holding our next assessment centres in August and September for start dates from October - December 2026.

Your responsibilities in this role include:

  • Assemble and install components including machined parts, brackets, and other assembled parts
  • Work from engineering drawings, technical specifications and associated design data
  • Ensure all tasks are completed within allocated timeframes and to required quality standards
  • Follow company production processes, procedures and configuration control requirements
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Identify and report any issues, defects or non-conformances during assembly
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean and 5S activities
  • Maintain a clean, organised and compliant work area
  • Ensure tools, equipment and materials are used correctly and maintained in good condition
  • Accurately complete required documentation, including timesheets and job records
  • Support production meetings or team briefings where required
