Employee Relations Specialist - Temporary Contract

Location: Swansea / Hybrid
Duration: Approximately five months
Start: Late September / early October
Engagement: Fixed-term contract or inside-IR35 contractor arrangement
Rate: Competitive and dependent on experience

We are supporting an established organisation seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional for a confidential temporary assignment.

Joining during a busy period of organisational change, you will provide practical ER advice and independently manage a varied caseload. You will work closely with managers, employees and the wider People team.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing employee-relations cases from initial advice through to resolution
  
  
• Advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance matters
  
  
• Supporting employee consultation and change-related conversations
  
  
• Providing advice on flexible-working requests and other employment matters
  
  
• Coaching managers through policies, procedures and sensitive discussions
  
  
• Managing standard and complex cases fairly and consistently
  
  
• Maintaining clear records and keeping relevant stakeholders updated
  
  
• Supporting wider organisational-change activity when required
  
  

• Strong, recent employee-relations experience
  
  
• Confident managing a varied ER caseload independently
  
  
• Experience supporting organisational change, consultation or restructuring would be advantageous
  
  
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law
  
  
• Able to provide pragmatic, balanced and commercially aware advice
  
  
• Comfortable joining an organisation quickly and working proactively
  
  
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
  
  
• Available to commit to an assignment of approximately five months
