Site Service Engineer

Are you a hands-on engineer with experience maintaining critical site services and utilities within a manufacturing environment?

We're recruiting for a Days-Based Site Services Engineer to join a busy engineering team, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of all site utilities and infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering professional looking for a varied role with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, compliance and continuous improvement.

The Role

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving key site services equipment to support production and business operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on site services equipment
• Maintaining steam, heating, compressed air, water, refrigeration and HVAC systems
• Monitoring utility performance and driving efficiency improvements
• Supporting statutory compliance and ensuring all equipment meets regulatory requirements
• Working with contractors and external service providers on planned projects and maintenance activities
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting site projects, installations and equipment upgrades
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety and environmental standards

About You

We're looking for a proactive engineer who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in maintaining high engineering standards.

You'll ideally have:

• Apprentice-trained engineering background
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG, food production or industrial environments
• Knowledge of site services and utilities including boilers, compressors, refrigeration, HVAC, steam and water systems
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills
• Understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A continuous improvement mindset
