Job Role of the Engineering Stores Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Stores Manager to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business based in Cross Hands. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong engineering stores background and proven management experience to take ownership of the stores function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the engineering stores, managing stock levels, coordinating purchasing activities and ensuring critical engineering spares and components are available to support site operations.

Working closely with the engineering, maintenance, procurement and production teams, you will help improve stock availability, minimise downtime, maintain inventory accuracy and drive cost efficiencies across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineering Stores Manager

• Previous experience working within an engineering stores or industrial stores environment.
• Proven management or supervisory experience.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements for the Engineering Stores Manager

• Experience managing engineering spare parts, stock control and inventory levels.
• Experience with purchasing, procurement and supplier management.
• Ability to ensure critical engineering components are available when required.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with engineering and production teams.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using stock management systems, ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, cost control and continuous improvement.

Desirable Requirements of the Engineering Stores Manager

• Previous experience within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
• Experience managing engineering stores within a fast-paced production facility.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance requirements and critical spare parts management.
• Experience implementing stock control improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
