Freelance Draughtsman / CAD Technician - Facades & Cladding

Fawkes & Reece are working with an established independent fa ade contractor based in Cardiff who are seeking an experienced Draughtsman / CAD Technician to join their team on a freelance basis.

We are looking for someone with proven experience working on cladding and fa ade projects, who can provide high-quality technical drawing support across a range of commercial and residential schemes.

The role of Draughtsman / CAD Technician will be site based working on projects in and around Cardiff.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience within the fa ade and cladding industry is essential
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous)
• Ability to produce detailed fabrication, construction and installation drawings
• Strong understanding of fa ade systems, rainscreen cladding, and associated components
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

The Role:

• Preparation and coordination of technical drawings and details
• Liaising with project teams, contractors and suppliers
• Assisting with design development and project delivery
• Freelance opportunity with flexible arrangements available

Benefits

• To start ASAP
• 12 months work - could continue for the very long term or go permanent for the right candidate.
• Day rate - 250 to 300 per day ( depending on experience )
• Location: Cardiff
