Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer - required for our client, a multi-disciplinary UK wide Consultancy that is in a growth period, based from their office in Cardiff with Hybrid working options. The Structural Engineer will be providing support to the local and national Engineering teams on a wide range of projects, including structural surveys and preparation of reports, calculations, design and preparation of drawings designs for residential, commercial and industrial properties as well as providing advice to the insurance sector and assisting with regional frameworks.

The Ideal Structural Engineer will preferably have 4+ years post graduate experience within a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy environment The Structural Engineer will have a good working knowledge of construction methods, materials and building regulations

Structural Engineer Position Overview

• Structural Reports
• Structural design calculations and preparation of drawings
• Flood damage surveys
• Provide technical advice to clients
• Producing CAD Drawings
• Involved in obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval
• Site inspections and client visits
• Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
• Administering contracts and managing projects
• Asses the sustainability and environmental impact of each project

Structural Engineer Position Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or similar discipline - accredited by IstructE or ICE
• Knowledge of legal requirements including CDM2015, Part wall, Listed buildings
• Experience of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning
• Experience in working to deadlines and within budgets
• Problem solver
• Keen to progress quickly and gin chartership with IstructE or ICE
• Experience in working to deadlines and within budgets
• UK Driving Licence

Structural Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: up to £45k DOE
• Holiday 25 days plus BH increasing with service
• Chartership support and mentoring - IstructE or ICE
• Pension 7.5% employer contribution
