Job Description

Cardiff Bus is seeking an Allocations Administrator to join the Allocations Team to support our operation, on a fixed term basis to support Maternity leave. Reporting to the Lead Allocations Supervisor, you will provide general administrative support to the allocation’s supervisors, operations managers and driving staff.

This is a fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave

Hours - Monday to Friday day shifts (depending on business needs this could change)

The successful applicant will,

  • Update and maintain the company’s strategic performance indicators.
  • Manage and maintain the drivers holiday book within company limits.
  • Run, check, and send the Drivers payroll.
  • Liaise with operations managers to arrange drivers’ meetings.
  • Organising driving staff to attend meetings, CPC courses and route training.
  • Liaise with other areas of the business to ensure improvements in information availability.
  • Undertake additional duties, as required to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
  • Promote a positive safety culture, by following all safe practices, taking ownership for own behaviours, and working environment, following reporting processes as required.
  • To understand health and safety including having knowledge of risk assessments and supporting items, and follow the instructions provided.
  • To undertake any additional responsibilities, duties and ad-hoc project work as required

Qualifications/Skills

  • Excellent IT literacy, proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent Organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong team player and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Resilient mindset with ability to have challenging and difficult conversations.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • High level of analytical and logic to articulate data into a comprehensive and concise format.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex procedures whilst working independently to a high standard
