Learning Support Assistant (Behaviour)

Are you a resilient and adaptable LSA who can build positive relationships with pupils?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary-aged Pupil Referral Unit / PRU based in Caerphilly. The provision supports pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs / ALN, including ASD and EBD, providing additional support to help young people engage positively with their education.

The PRU is looking to take on an LSA on a full-time, temporary basis from ASAP until Christmas. The successful LSA will support secondary-aged pupils with ASD and EBD, helping them to engage with learning, manage their behaviour and develop positive relationships within the provision.

The successful LSA will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, EBD and/or challenging behaviour
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A resilient and patient approach
• Adaptability and a can-do attitude
