CCW is the independent voice for water consumers in England and Wales. Since 2005, we have helped thousands of consumers resolve complaints against their water company or retailer, while providing free advice and support. All of our work is informed by extensive research, which we use to champion the interests of consumers and influence water companies, governments and regulators.
We’re a relatively small organisation (with around 70 employees) and we only cost each bill payer in England and Wales around 26p but since 2005, we have helped thousands of consumers resolve complaints against their water company, while providing free advice and support.

If you’re a household or business water consumer in England or Wales, we’re here to fight your corner.
We’re here to provide guidance and information, answer your questions and take up your unresolved water company or retailer complaints. You can read our complaint successes to see examples of how we’ve helped consumers and our achievements to see what we have delivered for them.
We work closely with water companies, Governments, regulators like Ofwat, the Environment Agency and the Drinking Water Inspectorate, the media, and other organisations.
