Adnodd is a Welsh Government arm’s length body that leads and coordinates the provision of educational resources in both Welsh and English to support and inspire the teaching and learning of the Curriculum for Wales.

Our vision is that all learners and practitioners, whatever their backgrounds, have the right to high-quality educational resources that will spark their imagination, support their well-being, and encourage a lifelong love of learning.

Our work involves exploring future trends and identifying gaps in the current provision through research and engagement. We address evidenced needs by commissioning high-quality adaptable and accessible resources which will enrich cross-curricular learning. We work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including practitioners, learners, educational bodies, Welsh Government, suppliers, and national and grass-roots organisations. Using evaluation and evidence, we demonstrate how our work supports the needs of learners and practitioners.

From 2025 to 2028, our work will be guided by three strategic focus areas: literacy, equity and anti-racism, and wellbeing. These priorities reflect urgent national challenges and aim to address resource gaps and inequalities affecting learners and educators. Every commissioned resource will support one or more of these areas, ensuring meaningful impact across the Curriculum for Wales. By fostering collaboration and drawing on best practices, we will empower schools to create inclusive, confident, and resilient learning environments.
