Job Description

Hours: 18 hours a week

To commence July 20th 2024 (with some work over the school summer holidays to be arranged)

We are looking for a suitably motivated, reliable, community-focused and friendly Site Manager who has initiative, to join our school fully in September 2024, following a hand-over period in July and during the school summer holiday.

You will be an enthusiastic person with a good sense of humour, who would play a key role in maintaining the school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.

Standard hours of work during term time are 6.30am – 8:30am and 5.00pm – 6.30pm. Annual leave must be taken during school holidays. Hours of work during school holidays can be agreed with the Headteacher, and additional weekly hours will be discussed at interview.

You will be responsible for keeping the school secure, be able to carry out minor maintenance repairs, carry out safety checks as required and ensure adequate records are maintained. As the main key holder, you will also be responsible for the daily unlocking and locking of the school.

You will organise the efficient removal of waste from the building and the grounds, including recycling, and ensure that the outdoors are kept clear of weeds, litter and debris.

You will be expected to attend school as necessary outside of normal working hours in cases of alarm activation or other emergency. This role would suit a person living locally. An Enhanced DBS is required for this position
