Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Equality, Diversity & Welsh Language Officer.

What you will be doing?

  • To support the Equality and Diversity Manager in developing strategies and policies relevant to the business area, and to help influence policies and practices across other business areas
  • To work closely with partner organisations including the other three Welsh Forces, Local Authorities, Fire and Rescue Services, Welsh Language Commissioner and Equality and Human Rights Commission etc. to identify and share best practice, as well as identify potential areas for collaboration
  • To establish and maintain an effective communication avenue with our diverse communities, working with our Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
  • To support the Equality, Diversity and Welsh Language Manager in advising senior officers and ACPO as to the implications of the Equality Act 2010 and Welsh Language Standards, and any action which is required by the Force in order to comply with the same.
