Logistics and Administrative Officer

1. The position requires a versatile individual with good all round communication skills to deal with customers & colleagues alike.

A busy engineering company based in Neath, currently seeking a ‘logistics & administration’ officer

The position requires a versatile individual with good all round communication skills to deal with customers & colleagues alike. 

They will be responsible for providing dedicated logistical support mainly to our sales, stores and accounting departments. 

Daily tasks will include

• tracking of goods sent via carriers,
• booking collections and deliveries both in the uk and worldwide
• dealing with customer queries,
• sales invoicing and organise paperwork for our own van deliveries
• purchasing of goods/procurement
• providing telephone and email support alongside the sales office
• collecting payments
• providing support to our stores department
• dealing with and checking deliveries & stocktaking
• general administrative tasks

The candidate must have a sound understanding of arithmetic & literacy as well as computing.

Experience of using Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and Sage would be advantageous.

Although the business is relatively small it is very busy and requires someone who is forward thinking and can adapt to the environment whilst always adopting a flexible attitude.
