Job Description

Experienced Female Support Workers required for a teenage girl who has a Brain Injury living in the Cardiff area. 

An opportunity has arisen for up to 3 female support workers to join the client’s dynamic multidisciplinary team for a fun-loving teenager living in the family home based in the Capital city of Wales. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to work and develop their skills working with a young person in a community care setting. 

The ideal candidate will have a genuine caring profile with an ability to learn and implement the client’s care and prescribed therapy programmes. The candidate must have good communication skills and be familiar with IT. The candidate will as part of a care team working shift patterns, including sleeping in nights and to help her lead as fulfilling a life as possible, continually maximising her physical, her learning, her psychological well-being, and her safety. 

The candidate should have the ability to support the client’s transfers and follow her individual moving and handling plan.

Working hours: 30-40 hours per week. Shifts available will include mornings, evenings, sleeping-in nights and day shifts during school holidays.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible. 

Rates of pay: £13.50 per hour Monday to Friday, £14.50 per hour Saturday and Sunday.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training. 

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential, and the successful client must be prepared to do a community care worker driving assessment.
