As the Policy and Public Affairs Officer for RCN Wales you’ll use your focused attitude to support influencing on behalf of the organisation. Your analytic and communication skills will contribute to a small but highly effective influencing team.

In this varied role every day will be different. You will organise events, draft policy papers, respond to Bills and develop campaigns. We'll look to you to build external relationships, draft consultation responses, put together briefings and communicate our campaign messages to members and the wider world. It's a great way to build on your skills and experience and develop your potential.

As our Policy and Public Affairs Officer you’ll be at the heart of a team working to influence and improve healthcare in Wales.

To join us you’ll be experienced in writing for different audiences and in influencing and campaigning. You will have knowledge of policy and public affairs in Wales including the legislative process.

You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and demonstrate initiative by take personal ownership of projects and to prioritise your workload. You should have a systematic and committed approach to work, with a working knowledge of MS Office. The ability to communicate effectively in Welsh is desirable for this role and we welcome applications from Welsh speakers.
