CTO, Chief Technology Officer, Software Architect, System Architect, Lead Developer, Head of Development, Full Stack, Agile, Cloud, Data Science, API, UX / UI, Databases, System Integration, Hardware

Role: CTO / Systems Architect
Location: Remote (Office will be based in Wales - Cardiff, Newport etc and be built around the development team)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Equity

Acorn is excited to be in sole partnership with a disruptive IoT innovator looking for their key technology hire.

Our client is looking for their CTO / Software Architect - a highly skilled technical developer who also has the people and delivery skills to hire and manage a team of developers required to get the product delivered. The role will change over time but on day one will be a hands-on coding role with autonomy to make key decisions in regards to tech stack and what is needed to build out the product (across systems, software, data science & analytics). This is a greenfield product and whilst there is some code in place with some ideas around architecture, you will have the ability to make it your own and develop the product roadmap as you see fit.

You will also need to be comfortable building the cloud-based infrastructure behind the system and implementing the latest delivery methods and the surrounding processes (e.g. Agile, CI etc). You will also play a key role in working with third party vendors for system integrations along with working with other functions of the business beyond product development, including business strategy, investor relations, finance, and operations.

This role is going to be working remotely to begin with - the physical office will then be set up in a location convenient to the CTO and allow them to build the dev function around themselves - location isn't an issue whether its Cardiff, Newport or surrounding areas. Whist this role is based with a start-up it presents significant opportunity as the board have years of experience at global blue chips firms and are closing a significant investment round.

Skills Required
Experience at with hands-on development of enterprise level software in a full stack capacity (we are open to language), fully aware of the latest advances in Development.
Experience architecting and building cloud solutions (Ideally some experience with Google Cloud but completely to other services including AWS or Azure).
Someone with leadership skills who has the ability to build out and manage a development team with plans to hire a team within the next couple of months.
Any experience with Internet of Things, System Integration, Data Science, Data Analytics and APIs is highly desirable.
Most of all we are looking for someone who is hugely passionate about technology and is really driven to get to the next stage of their career by being a part of making a tech start-up scale!
