MPI have a requirement for Mech Fitters to work in Caerphilly, South Wales. NP12 2EU

Immediate start

3- 6 months + currently working up to 50 hours

Job Title: Bonder

Limited Company - £17.00 per hour, PAYE £12.88 per hour

Candidates MUST have a valid Human Factors Certificate, relevant apprenticeship papers / City & Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3 certificates.

Duties: Hot & Cold Bonding on composite Aerospace components.

Summary Statement:

This is an advanced skill level position in production. Personnel in this classification may be assigned a variety of duties associated with the repair of bonded aircraft components. It is expected that the Responsibility, Accountability and Authority (RAA) of this position will be accomplished in a manner that reflects and promotes the Corporate mission and cultural values of our Client.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Performs tasks associated with the repair/overhaul of bonded aircraft components.

Must be flexible due to possible requirement for 'On Wing' off site work.

Special projects and duties as required by division or corporate management.

Position Qualifications:

Fully Indentured Mechanical Apprenticeship

Must have experience in the Aerospace Industry.

Experience performing metal bonding or composite fabrication/bonding.

Must be able to read and follow all work instructions, using documents such as process planning, adhesive log sheets, Material Review Board/Engineering Work Orders (MRB/EWO's), process specifications, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Manuals, etc.

Must be able to read intermediate blueprints.

Accurate completion of all documentation essential.

Must be able to use close tolerance measuring tools (i.e., scales, micrometres, callipers, depth gages, etc.).

Must be able to use hand tools (drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools, etc.).

Must have the ability to lay out, pre-fit, assemble and perform lay-up on a variety of metal to metal and composite bonded assemblies.

Must be able to perform complicated rework or repair.

Must be able to use Vacuum Bagging for Autoclave cures up to 100 p.s.i.
