Our Client is a multi sector speciality distributor of raw materials and chemicals to the UK Manufacturing Industry.

They are now seeking a Sales Manager - Chemicals. This position will be predominantly office based in either Bristol or Swansea with regular travel throughout the South West of England and South Wales. It is a full-time permanent role.

Job Purpose
* Implement the overall sales strategy
* To ensure the Bristol and Swansea Business achieves its growth targets
* Organise, assist and coach sales team to achieve individual targets
* Be involved with the overall Management of the two sites as part of the Management team

Key Responsibilities
* Managing a Sales team of five internal and three external account managers
* Close liaison with the sector specific sales team
* Responsible for helping set and deliver the sales budgets covering the South West of England and South Wales
* Some Key Account management responsibilities

Qualifications and Experience
* Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Chemistry or relevant field is desirable but not essential
* Experience of Sales within the Chemical or a related Industry is desirable
* Some previous Sales Management experience, during this time you will have demonstrated great sales technique application as well as developing strong people centred leadership qualities
* You will have a proven track record and be able to demonstrate sales growth; organically with existing customers and by identifying new business opportunities, through the motivation and good management of your team
* Account Management. Proven success in a business to business environment
* Excellent people management skills, self-motivated and able to manage a divergent team with wide ranging, personalities, abilities and experience
* Creative and Imaginative by nature yet adaptable and understanding of the need for detailed and accurate reporting
* You will have the ability to establish quick credibility to the site and with networking skills, the wider business environment.
* Able to work within the constraints of a large multinational organisation whilst maintaining the hands-on, pragmatic ethos of the local site.
* Confident and able to converse and present at board level.

In return, our Client is offering a salary of up to £46,000 per annum basic plus benefits including Car and generous Bonus Scheme. (Up to 50% of basic salary).
