Full Stack PHP Developer - Cardiff

£25-35,000 basic salary plus benefits


A design company that provides creative services for companies across Wales and the UK, offering strategic graphic design, brand & website development solutions for visitor attractions, festivals, venues, the arts, education and business. They provide a sound consultancy for branding & logo development, brochures, exhibition materials and web presence.


This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dedicated development role in a small, busy creative design studio with a team of designers, animators and developers.

You'll be working on developing Wordpress websites for their varied range of clients across all market sectors and locations across the UK.

The work will vary from day to day, with a range of requests from all areas of the business providing a stimulating creative environment.

Working in a close and friendly team and reporting directly to the creative directors, you will help them to research, code, build, test and deploy a variety of Wordpress websites with a range of innovative features.

Other tasks will be to support and trouble-shoot existing client sites, respond swiftly and efficiently to support enquires, bugs, offering technical support too.

Your main duties will be based around developing Wordpress websites, new functions, features, or adapting, updating and evolving existing ones with new functions and features.

Although you'll spend a lot of your time writing code, no two days will be the same.

Key Skills/Requirements

* Thorough knowledge of the Wordpress CMS framework

* (Utilising ACF within the build)

* Proven record of working with PHP

* Understanding and knowledge of development with Bootstrap 4

* Working knowledge of web languages including HTML5, Jquery, CSS3

* Third party API integration understanding and experience (JSON)

* We work with many venues across Wales with ticketing system api integrations - - examples include Spektrix, Ticketsolve, Ticketsource, Toptix

* Experience in using GIT or similar version control system

* Experience of producing multi-lingual sites

* An enthusiasm for Code, Styling and UX

* Knowledge of Website deployment, DNS management, Linux Servers

* Understanding of Jira workflow software or similar tool

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Good problem-solving abilities

* An active interest in new methods and technologies

* Creative and innovative thinking
