Gower College Swansea is looking for an enthusiastic and motivational individual to assess learners within the Maths, Science and Social Science Department.  This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills at Further Education level and inspire the next generation.  Programmes of study delivered within this sector include the Level 3 Diploma in Applied Science and Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (Industrial Science pathway).

Working in a vibrant and positive learning environment, you will be responsible for assessing Technical Apprentices in the workplace at levels 2 and 3.  The ideal candidates will be highly knowledgeable, have a strong science background and be able to demonstrate evidence of assessing learners on a similar pathway. You will also possess enthusiasm, a self-sufficient attitude, coupled with the motivation and commitment to support learners to achieve the timely completion of their qualifications.

With recent working knowledge and experience in an education or industrial laboratory setting, you will ideally hold an Assessor Award (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32 / D33 or Training Assessment qualification) and must be educated to Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent).

As the post involves travelling to a number of employers, applicants will need a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.  A willingness to work outside of the normal College term dates is also essential for this role.
