Logistics Services Coordinator

Are you looking for your next challenge in international logistics then this role may be for you?
We are looking for a Logistics Services Coordinator to be the main logistics contact for one of our main customers and responsible for coordinating all spare parts and international shipments. The role will be the coordinating interface between the customer, external logistics providers and our internal project team to ensure a smooth running, accurate, legally compliant service delivery.
Duties of the Role:
- Lead the relationship with the customer for all warehousing and logistics activities across the region and drive the 'Spares Dimensioning Programme'.
- Manage the day to day spares management activities within the region, including the repair cycle and distribution/replenishment of parts;
- Be the point of contact for all cross-border trade controls; ensure that Indigo is fully compliant with the export control laws and licenses required to ship within and outside the European Union;
- Manage receipt of equipment; ensure the equipment is audited and logged; ensure all deliveries are made on time including full documentation, compliance checks, import/export permits and licensing (where applicable) and declarations;
- Manage the relationship with the external logistics providers, ensure all documentation relevant to shipment is completed, keeping abreast of the ever-changing regulatory environment;
- Manage all customs charges, taxes and duties on the customers' behalf; Ensure that these are reclaimed/repaid as required;
- Provide weekly/monthly reporting SLAs and KPI targets through regular service review meetings with the customers;
Competency: Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an international logistics or stock management role;
- Knowledge and experience of international trade controls and the Export Control Organisation (ECO);
- Excellent phone manners, high standard of written & spoken English;
- Ability to multi-task and keep a cool head in a fast-paced environment;
- PC literate, especially with regard to Microsoft Office suite;
- Ability to resolve issues in challenging circumstances;
- Flexible approach to role, with the ability to adapt and react to business and customer needs;
Working Environment:
The position is based at our new headquarters near Newport, South Wales - just 2 minute-drive after the Prince Wales Bridge. Minor occasional travel may be required.
