Job Title:Product Development Engineer
Reporting to:Lead Engineer
Location:Port Talbot

General Responsibility and Function:

This position will be within the Engineering Department and be reporting to the lead engineer. The successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in the engineering team's day-to-day business, prioritising work allocation and maintaining high standards with attention to detail. This highly customer focused role will require the successful candidate to make effective engineering decisions, work to tight deadlines and communicate well within a team environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*Produce 3D CAD Models and Technical Drawings.
*Creation of Part Numbers / Bill of Materials to ensure all technical requirements are met (Company MRP system - SAP).
*Complete Technical Review and Support for various Customer Orders / Enquiries
*Provide Technical support in accordance with internal specifications, industry standards and customer requirements
*Generate Technical Solutions to customer requirements/specifications.
*Able to manage own work load in a fast turnaround environment, on a day-to-day basis.
*Contributes to the development of the innovative products and processes.
*Participate in design reviews.
*Actively participate in project meetings.
*Liaise with other departments / suppliers on technical queries
*Develop and build knowledge of the company, products and processes.

Personal Profile - Skills & Experience
*5+ years of practical engineering experience in the Oil and Gas Industry is essential
*Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) required. Masters Degree or Professional Engineering Licensed preferred.
*Working knowledge of various industry codes including ASME Sec VIII and API preferred
*Strong analytical abilities.
*Strong CAD abilities - Solidworks preferred
