Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a friendly, passionate and eager Teaching Assistant with experience working in an Early Years setting (Nursery or an infants class in a Primary School) to take on a full time role within one of our fantastic partner schools, located in Cardiff (CF3) within their Early Years department (Nursery/Reception).

Their enthusiastic staff and management are looking to appoint an additional member to join their team due to the high Nursery and Reception intake, being one of the most popular schools in the area. You will be working as a general teaching assistant, taking on small groups and occasionally one-to-one support to Children in their Nursery and Reception groups, for carpet time, numeracy, reading and play therapy.

Candidates with Early Years related qualifications and experience will have a stronger chance of being short-listed, however the school have confirmed they will also consider applications from candidates with transferable skills. In that case, the ideal candidate must have experience within the education sector in general and/or child care, OR be a recent graduate in the following : Sports, English, Maths, Drama, Arts or Psychology.
Special Educational Needs experience and any other related/additional qualifications are beneficial but not necessary. The school are looking for someone with a good academic background (minimum of GCSEs and A Levels inc. Maths and/or English - A* to C grades) and motivation to raise attainment.

You must relate to children on an individual level as well as creating a fun and stimulating environment and maintaining high standards of education. The position would suit an individual looking to expand their experience in the Education sector and more specifically in an Early Years school setting.

You must be available to work Monday to Friday (term time) between 8:30am and 3:30pm .
