We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join this new team at our Supported Living service near Newport.
Ty Coedwig is a brand new service consisting of 14 self-contained flats which will support individuals with Learning Difficulties and Mental Health needs. Having been recently refurbished to our usual very high standard the property awaits it's new occupants who will be equally as excited as we are to welcome you to their NEW staff team.
Situated between Ystrad Mynach and Cross Keys, around 9ml from Newport, this service is also easy accessible from Risca, Blackwood, Abercarn, Caerphilly. Set on a hillside overlooking Blackvein Mountain the views are naturally breath-taking, with a wide range of local activities just a stone's throw away: the People we Support will have unlimited opportunities to explore within their new surroundings.
As part of this role you will be required to participate in on call duties on a rota basis as directed by the Service Manager.

Main responsibilities Your duties will include supporting the Home Manager, and deputising in their absence, to undertake all aspects of managing the home, ensuring that high standards of care and support are maintained and adhering to all requirements and regulations (e.g. CQC).
You will also assist in developing staff rotas and managing the staff team.
An appropriate balance is needed between management and 'hands-on' work, meeting the needs of the service users living in the home.

You will have considerable experience working with people with learning disabilities, at a minimum of Lead/Senior Support Worker level.
