Our client, a leading and prestigious company in the heart of Carmarthen are looking for an experienced Welsh Speaking HR Officer to join their busy office on a Maternity cover contract for 9 - 12 months.

Dealing with multiple departments on internal issues such as employee engagement and well-being, recruitment, absence management, and company development; the right candidate will be experienced in working in a busy and demanding generalist HR role.

Location: Carmarthen

Contract: 9 -12 month Maternity contract

Please Note: The ability to communicate fluently in Welsh is essential

The Role:

Build influential relationships with key team members at all levels

Understand key performance issues and people requirements to meet organisational staffing needs

Take the lead in recruitment and talent management strategy throughout the organisation

Offer best practice HR advice and support in order to assist managers, teams and individuals

Develop and implement new initiatives to improve the employee engagement

Ensure positive employee relations are maintained throughout the organisation

Lead in the innovation of HR practice, policies and procedures

Work closely with management team to support and deliver people plans

Ensuring a company-wide understanding and adherence to equality and diversity

Support the company's compliance with policies on the Welsh language
The Person:

Exceptional communication skills in both Welsh and English

An understanding of employment law, HR policy and practice

Understanding of equality and diversity issues in the workplace

Excellent generalist HR experience

Experience in designing and implementing talent management and recruitment programmes

Ability to build strong professional relationships

CIPD qualified or equivalent experience

Exceptional analytical skills

Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
